Frank J's Story
I still live in Saddle Brook. I was married for 32 years, then my wife died in a car accident in October of 2006. It has been very difficult but you have to go on and live your life and count your blessings. I have a daughter Allyson who is an attorney and a son Frank who works for the PATH rail system at the Port Authority. I also met the lovely young lady pictured above and have been with her for a few years. I have been a volunteer fireman in Saddle Brook for 42 years but I am not that active anymore due to some arthritic issues.

was supposed to attend a morning meeting at the WTC that day and it was cancelled the day before. I knew 10 of the 75 Port Authority employee's who died that day.
I have had a log cabin in upstate NY since 1990 and try to spend 1 weekend a month up there during most of the year. I also have 2 rescue dogs who I spoil because I have no grandchildren.
I still socialize with a number of the old Sub Base crew on a regular basis. Stan Romanek, Joe Ruggiero, Bob Meadows, Mark Solaro, John Manzo, Ken Lesenko, Tom Ribustello are all still in the area. Some are gone, Bruce Halgas died last year and Pete Kopec back in 2006. Stan Dzielinski is also my brother-in-law. He married my wife's sister.
